Who We Are

Hello, my name is Annie and I’m from Somerset. I’ve always loved getting out into nature, getting my hands dirty in the soil, checking out the mini beasts and propagating and growing plants with my mammy as a kid.

This passion has been lifelong, in varying degrees, culminating in the acquisition of a council allotment plot nine years ago (funnily enough, it coincided with the birth of my first born – almost like I needed a bit of a break from the constant mumming for a few hours!)

There’s such a joy to be had from growing from seed – sowing it, then watching the seedling pop out of the soil and shed its seed case as its leaves open up to the light and potting it on to a bigger pot. Then to acclimatise them so that they’re ready to take the leap to the outdoors – to face weather, pests (hello, pheasants of North Devon!) and all sorts of other challenges after developing in a comfy seed tray!

Then you wait, months in some cases (a whole year for my favourite purple sprouting broccoli!) for delicious fruition.

So, imagine when I found out that I didn’t have to wait months to enjoy tasty fresh greens, that the seedlings I was nurturing are full of nutritional value and also taste great in their own right. I had to find out more.

So, after months of research and trials, here I am on the internet talking about it while you read what I’ve written!

It’s been a learning curve, but I’m enjoying the challenge and I’m proud to now be able to offer up my new offerings to you!
